• 	Stitch 'n Bitch. For me, this is the one that started it all. Great, unintimidating how to's for the very beginner, fun projects and a breezy conversational style. Let Debbie Stoller take your hand and guide you gently to the wonderful world of knitting.
  	Yarn Girl's Guide to Simple Knits.  If you're contemplating making the leap from scarves to your very first sweater or hat, turn to the Yarn Girls. They make it seem so easy (and it really isn't all that hard).
  	Vogue Knitting. The comprehensive guide to all things knitting. You'll find everything from a history of knitting to a stitch library to dozens of ways to cast on, increase, decrease and basically make your needles do magic.
  	Nicky Epstein's Knitted Flowers. This is a VERY fun book by a very innovative designer.
  	Weekend Knitting. Great little projects in this inspirational book.
  	Last Minute Knitted Gifts. Sooo many wonderful ideas!
  	Modern Classics: Simply the greatest sweater book ever.
